ABOUT THE EVENT

Your immediate action can save lives. We urgently require O positive and O negative blood donations to meet critical demand at the Dubai Blood Donation Centre in Al Jaddaf. Each donation you make has the potential to save up to three lives by supplying essential red blood cells, plasma, and platelets to trauma victims, surgery patients, and those with blood disorders.

Important details:

• Download the Dubai Health app (available on Apple and Android)
• Review eligibility criteria below
• Register and choose a slot before visiting
• Complete the mandatory questionnaire for blood donation on the app
• Present the QR code from the app upon arrival
• Carry a valid Emirates ID (Physical) throughout the donation procedure
  

Eligibility Criteria

• Be in good general health condition at the time of donation 
• Between 18 and 65 years old
• Body weight: Minimum 50 kg (donors aged 21 or younger must weigh at least 55 kg)
• Have had at least 4 hours of sleep the night before donation
• Have eaten a healthy meal within 4 hours prior to donation, avoiding fatty foods like egg, mutton, butter, cheese, etc., for at least 12 hours
• Wait 28 days before donating if experiencing flu symptoms
• Pregnant and lactating women should refrain from donating for their own and their baby's health
