Are you a restaurant based in JLT? Take part in our JLT fusion food competition for your chance to be crowned the winner and get free advertising in JLT!

Contestants will have one hour to prepare a dish that will be put to the taste test of our expert judges from JLT's popular Levant Kitchen 'Bait Maryam' - Chef Salam Dakkak and pastry instructor from 'SCAFA Dubai' - Chef Toyo (Adetoyosi Odufuye).

Chef Salam always cooked the most delicious food for family members, neighbours, and sometimes for strangers who had merely heard about her home-cooked cuisines from others. In the past, having hosted her own cooking show back in Saudi - she was a star about to explode in passion and authenticity to her fans. As people began to show love and appreciation for Chef Salam's amazing recipes, which she had inherited from her mother Maryam, she decided to go on this journey and open a little authentic restaurant.

About Chef Toyo

Chef Adetoyosi Odufuye or lovingly nicknamed Chef Toyo is SCAFA Dubai's feature Pastry Instructor. As alumni and graduate of SCAFA back in 2017, where she successfully completed her Culinary and Pastry Diploma, she was accepted as an apprentice and intern at SCAFA.

Chef Toyo has trained under her culinary mentors as well as run and appeared at events like Kitchen on Ice in collaboration with Emaar, Siemens Cooking Series, Dubai Food Festival Pop Up Kitchens and much more. Her passion for pastry and baking stems from her hometown in Lagos, Nigeria where she owned and worked at her own independent bakery. A true Cinderella story of student becoming trainer, she now imparts her 5 years of knowledge onto the new generation of SCAFA students.
