DGCX News
2023 was an important year for DGCX, marked by significant strides in its global reach, expansion of its portfolio and the strengthening of key partnerships. This year was a testament to the Exchange's leading role as a regional commodities market.
A highlight of the year was the Exchange's active exploration of new collaborative opportunities. Notably, DGCX hosted a series of delegations, including from the Government of Gujarat, India. This meeting focused on strategic discussions to develop the GIFT International Financial Services Centre. Additionally, in a notable step towards expanding its global presence, DGCX also sought membership with the Association of Futures Markets (AFM). This move followed DGCX’s active participation in the 25th Annual AFM Conference and its role as a gold sponsor at the Phillip Trading Symposium 2023.
2023 also saw the launch of the GCC’s first Shari’ah Compliant Silver contract in October. This followed the success of the Shari’ah Compliant Gold Spot Contract, which was introduced in 2018.
The introduction of this silver contract aligns with the Exchange's strategy to diversify its product offerings and to continuously adapt to the changing needs of its members.
