    Belal Jassoma is Director of Ecosystems at DMCC, the world’s leading business district and authority on international commodities trade and enterprise.

    Belal joined DMCC in 2011 and has been instrumental in scaling up DMCC’s ecosystems and commercial offering, including new products, services and member engagement programmes. In his current capacity as Director for Ecosystems, Belal is responsible for developing key strategic relationships, partnerships and product functions as well as overseeing ecosystem development across several of DMCC’s industry verticals such as crypto, gaming, AI, energy and financial services.

    Belal holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the American University of Sharjah and brings over 18 years of experience in real estate, investment, and government administration.

    S&P GLOBAL COMMODITY INSIGHTS

    Daniel is the Associate Director of Global Engagement & Intelligence for Oil and Chemicals at S&P Global Commodity Insights and has been based in Dubai since November 2018. Since joining S&P Global Platts in 2008 in London, Daniel has been responsible for some of the company’s major crude oil price assessments, including Dated Brent. He also covered a variety of refined products assessed out of London.

    In 2012 he moved to Singapore and became Managing Editor of the Asia crude team in 2013. In 2014 he was appointed Associate Editorial Director for Strategic Oil Markets Development where he led efforts in Asia and the Middle East to engage the oil community about S&P Global Platts price assessment methodology, provided insight on market developments and trends, and gathered feedback about the value that Platts provides. From 2016 until his recent move to Dubai he was manager of the crude and residual fuel market pricing and reporting teams in Singapore.

    Daniel earned a bachelor’s degree in social and political studies from the University of Sheffield.

    Claire manages Fuels and Chemicals Analytics services across the Middle East and Africa. She is responsible for supporting and engaging with clients on SPGCI’s integrated commodity outlook and the trends that drive the markets. Claire has over 25 years in the commodity markets starting with roles in commodity finance at BNP, followed by 15 years in energy derivatives sales at Goldman Sachs, BP and Deutsche Bank and for the past 10 years has been involved with the research side of the markets.

    Lance is a seasoned commodities industry professional with over 25 years of experience delivering products, technology solutions, and consultation. Lance is keenly focused on the natural commodity market evolution that’s leading to energy transition, data revolution, and digitization. He is driving these changes, while uniquely positioned with leading commodity solutions from ION Commodities.

    Lance has been with ION by way of TriplePoint from 2006, working in many different roles across Professional Services, product management, and strategy. He is now the business owner of the Aspect product line and continues to serve in the commodities product strategy. He has delivered solutions spanning all commodities, industries, and to customers of all sizes from across the globe.

    Before joining ION, Lance worked for other energy and commodity trading companies including Dynegy, ConocoPhillips, Koch, Duke Energy, and Williams. He also gained strong experience with the oil majors and services companies such as Shell, BP, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, and Cooper Cameron.

    Dong Wang is an Analyst based in S&P Global Commodity Insights Dubai office, covering Middle East oil market analytics since late 2021. He also oversees the publication of the Middle East Oil Market Forecast report. Prior to S&P Global Commodity Insights, Dong began his career as a reservoir engineer at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, contributing to the management and development of onshore oil fields. Dong holds a MS in Petroleum Engineering from Khalifa University, UAE, a MS in Drilling Engineering and a BS in Petroleum Engineering from China University of Petroleum, Beijing

    Jennifer is Senior Editor and Saudi Arabia Correspondent for S&P Global Commodity Insights based in Dubai covering the oil and energy markets. Before S&P, Jennifer was the energy correspondent at The National in Abu Dhabi, where she focused on oil and industrial development in the region’s crude-exporting countries as well as their transition into more sustainable energy producers. Ms Gnana, who was raised in Bahrain has been covering political economy in the Middle East for over 10 years with leading regional and international titles. She started her career in broadcast with the BBC covering development in South Asia, focusing on India’s economic growth story towards the end of the last decade and the broader challenge of integrating social objectives with financial policy. Ms Gnana, speaks Persian and Urdu apart from her native Tamil.
