Ahmed Bin Sulayem is the Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC and has driven its growth from a start-up of 28 member companies in 2003 to the world’s leading international business district in 2025 with over 25,000 member companies from 180 countries, employing over 80,000 people.
Tasked with enhancing commodity trade flows through Dubai, DMCC has introduced to the market a number of value-added products and services under Mr Bin Sulayem’s leadership. In 2023, DMCC was named ‘Global Free Zone of the Year’ by The Financial Times fDi Magazine, for a record ninth consecutive year.
Mr Bin Sulayem oversaw the exponential growth of the DMCC Free Zone master development in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), a 200-hectare business and residential community in Dubai of over 100,000 people living and working in 87 towers. Mr Bin Sulayem also oversees the development of DMCC’s latest real estate project, the Uptown Dubai district.
Mr Bin Sulayem currently serves as the Chairman the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) and the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX).
The Kimberley Process officially appointed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the first and only Arab country to Chair the Kimberley Process (KP) in November 2015. Shortly after, the UAE Ministry of Economy officially appointed Mr Bin Sulayem as the UAE’s Chair of the KP for 2016. Mr Bin Sulayem was reappointed Chair of the KP for a historic second time in 2024, and has continued his leadership role with the position of Custodian Chair in 2025.
Consul General of the UAE in Geneva
Mr. Jasim Mohamed Alabdouli has served as the United Arab Emirates’ Consul General in Geneva since January 2023. Mr. Alabdouli holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the American University of Sharjah. He joined the foreign service in 2009 as an economic specialist in the Economic Department. In February 2012, Mr. Alabdouli was appointed head of the Economic and Consular affairs sections at the UAE Embassy in Brussels.
After completing his tenure in Brussels in 2015, Mr. Alabdouli was appointed deputy director of the Undersecretary’s office at the Foreign Affairs. A year later, he was promoted to the position of Director of the Undersecretary’s office and remained in that until December 2022.

Swiss lawyer Michael Lane is Managing Partner of Swiss Group Legal Ltd, the Abu Dhabi- based legal consultancy of Swiss Group. He is also Director and Head of Legal at Swiss Group’s Dubai-based corporate advisory entity, Swiss Group Advisory DMCC.
Michael advises private and corporate clients looking to establish a presence in the Middle East, leveraging the United Arab Emirates as a hub for local, regional and international business development. He also assists in the optimisation and maintenance of clients’ existing structures and entities.
With specialisms including employment, real estate and tax affairs, Michael has a comprehensive working knowledge of commercial and corporate law in the UAE and Switzerland. He is also an expert in inheritance and family law, and actively engaged in matters concerning company formation, management and liquidation.
Before relocating to the UAE eight years ago, Michael worked for a Swiss corporate law firm, where he acquired solid experience and knowledge of local and international law for both individual and corporate clients. Michael is a DFSA and FSRA-approved Compliance Officer, a registered DIFC Will Draftsman, a certified UAE corporate tax professional, the president of the Swiss Business Council UAE, and a member of the Swiss Lawyers’ Association. He is fluent in English, German and French.
Michael writes articles for specialised publications as well as legal newsletters for various organisations. He is a regular speaker at high-level legal conferences across the Middle East and around the world.

Raffaele Delorenzi is a compliance and financial services expert specializing in AML, financial regulations, and investment advisory. As Head of Compliance at Swiss Group Advisory DMCC and Swiss Group Legal Ltd., he is on the Board of Swiss Group and oversees the regulatory compliance, and fiscal advisory functions of the group.
Raffaele grew up in the UAE, after which, relocated to Hong Kong where he held various directorships and board roles in prudentially regulated financial services, and other advisory functions, focusing on regulatory compliance, asset management and international business expansions. Raffaele then returned to the UAE years ago, now specializing on corporate governance, regulatory compliance matters, and fiscal considerations.
A Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and CFA Charterholder, Raffaele holds multiple compliance certifications and is a registered UAE Corporate Tax Agent. Fluent in Italian and English, he brings a global perspective to regulatory challenges.

Khozama Al Saadi is Senior Manager in Corporate Sales, Free Zone at DMCC, where she is responsible for operations in Western Europe, Israel, and Turkiye. She brings a decade of expertise in fostering strategic partnerships, relationships and alliances notably with governments and prominent industry stakeholders.
Prior to joining DMCC, Khozama worked for Dubai Chambers in the Investment Attraction division and has experience in Corporate Sales for Jumeirah Group and Mashreq Bank.
Khozama holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and Management from the American University of Dubai.
