Ahmed Bin Sulayem is the Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC and has driven its growth from a start-up of 28 member companies in 2003 to the world’s leading free zone in 2020 with over 18,000 member companies from 180 countries, employing over 60,000 people.
Tasked with enhancing commodity trade flows through Dubai, DMCC has introduced to the market a number of value-added products and services under Mr Bin Sulayem’s leadership. In 2020, DMCC has been named the ‘Global Free Zone of the Year’ by The Financial Times fDi Magazine, for a record sixth consecutive year.
Mr Bin Sulayem oversaw the exponential growth of the DMCC Free Zone master development in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), a 200-hectare business and residential community in Dubai of over 100,000 people living and working across 87 towers. Mr Bin Sulayem also oversees the development of DMCC’s latest real estate project; the much-anticipated Uptown Dubai district.
Mr Bin Sulayem currently serves as the Chairman of the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) and the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX).
The Kimberley Process officially appointed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the first and only Arab country to Chair the Kimberley Process in November 2015. Shortly after, the UAE Ministry of Economy officially appointed Mr Bin Sulayem as the UAE’s Chair of the Kimberley Process for 2016.

Gennadiy Chyzhykov was born on February 19, 1964 in Donetsk. He graduated from high school with a gold medal, studied at the Donetsk Institute of Trade from 1981 to 1985 at the trade and economic faculty.
After completing military service, he worked as an economist in the Trade Organization Department of the Donestk company «Mebli», and from 1987 – at the Donetsk Institute of Trade, where he held the positions of Assistant and Associate Professor of the Faculty of Enterprise Economy. In 1992 he defended his Master’s thesis, in some time – a Doctorate with specialty in Foreign Economic Activity. He has over 80 published scientific and nonfiction articles. He completed fellowships at the Bradford School of Business, University College Cork (Ireland), Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce (USA).
Gennadiy Chyzhykov has contributed to the development of the Chamber movement in Ukraine for over 20 years. From June, 2002 to February, 2014 he was President of the Donetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry. From February, 2013 Gennadiy Chyzhykov has held the position of President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. On May 19, 2015 he was re-elected as President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In this period, the following have been created and founded at the UCCI - a network of Export Support Centers, the National Export Forum, bilateral Business Councils with partners from 30 countries. A number of agreements on cooperation were concluded with partner organizations.

Sergii Voronovych is a Business Development Manager with experience in the field of construction and sale of commercial and residential Real Estate, financial and company structures. Last 2 years he is a CEO of THE PLACE Group developing a chain of business centers and coworking spaces under the brand THE PLACE.
In parallel, he also serves as an adviser of the Chairman London Regional Properties in Ukraine. One of the biggest investor in Ukraine commercial real estate (282 mln USD direct investment) and the biggest privately owned real estate company of the UK.
Earlier in his carrier, for 3 years he was a VP of Forum Group and developed XXII Carat Project on The Palm Jumeirah. To become a new benchmark in quality and design of Dubai residential real Estate and one of the most wanted high-end residential project in Dubai.
Before, Sergii has been a part of the team which developed one of the most luxurious 5* hotels in Dubai – Emerald Palace Kempinski and Kempinski Hotel and Residence Palm Jumeirah. Being in charge of the Sales and Marketing he cooperated with the key media players and real estate agencies of the GCC countries. He has matured and implemented sales promotion tools such as the guaranteed minimum income and “Room investment program” in order to attract private investors in the construction of a 5* hotel, which simplified capital raise in such large-scale projects.
At the same time working as a Vice President in one of Ukraine’s leading construction companies (“PGS”), building the largest residential and office complexes in Ukraine, Sergii was in charge of Street Retail development in Top locations with luxury brands, the renovation of two business centres, and development of new residential real estate, ensuring they are delivered to the highest quality by effectively organising, managing and utilising all resources to facilitate sale and lease thereof.
Earlier in his career Sergii gained experience as an Executive Director in Hares Group Holding led by Ukraine's President First Counsellor, working on high profile projects in Ukraine. For instance, Sergii was responsible for the Kyiv Airport City Project, a ski resort hotel in Bukovel, as well as advising and managing the registration and opening of Terminal “Brovary” (500,000 sq ft), warehouse Grade A, which was recognized as “Best Warehouse Project in 2010 in Ukraine”.
He holds a Master of Finance diploma from Kiev National Economic University and Bachelor of Law from Kiev National University.

Margarita Skavronska is a general manager and lawyer with an M.L. excellence diploma with 13 years of experience in legal support of transnational M&A, legal due diligence, transnational agreements reviewing, corporate agreements, MOU, LOI, STA, exclusive SHA drafting, international holding structuring (worked with over 23 jurisdictions).
She provides consultations for multinational projects entering new markets (Bank4you, TaxFree entering Luxemburg, France, Germany market; Cupid.net entering EU market), that requires highly qualified analysis of the territorial legal background, tax systems and global trends of financial information transparency and exchange as well as the prospect of development of every recommended location.
With a solid in-house background in international assets structuring, she proceeded her career development by being a partner of consulting company Pravo24 and advising others regarding their business activities. Thus, Margarita gained the respect of a large international and domestic client base providing them comprehensive solutions in assets structuring, international tax optimization, legal support of M&A transnational procedures, legal support of cross border business models and its implementation to EU market.
Being head of legal and tax planning department of Together Networks Ventures (IT holding, world top 10 in online socialising) and Tax-free Operator Company (VAT refund in EU, SIC, USA) she gained her experience developing holding structures for projects with over 200 included companies and 180 mln USD annual turnover.
Last year she led consulting companies in UAE that provides the business set-up, legal and management support to multinational corporations.
Executive Director - Commodities & Financial Services

Sanjeev Dutta is the Executive Director of Commodities and Financial Services at DMCC. He oversees DMCC’s commodities vertical, and directs the development, implementation and regulation of the organisation’s financial products, platforms and services.
An expert on trade finance and commodity markets, Sanjeev is responsible for identifying new business opportunities for DMCC and nurturing existing commercial partnerships. He was instrumental in establishing the DMCC Tea Centre, DMCC Coffee Centre and the award-winning DMCC Tradeflow platform, and now tasked with enhancing the trade of agri and softs, precious metals and stones through Dubai.
Sanjeev is a senior member of DMCC’s executive leadership team and supports the general management, strategic direction and growth initiatives of the organisation. Sanjeev devised and implemented the organisation’s Code of Corporate Governance, and established its comprehensive risk management protocol.
Joining on its inception, Sanjeev has held a number of senior roles within DMCC and previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DCGX). A distinguished speaker, Sanjeev regularly represents DMCC at international industry events and is an expert on trade, commodities and Islamic Finance.
A Chartered Accountant by profession, Sanjeev has over two decades of multi-industry expertise in auditing, financial controls, consulting, risk management, corporate governance and general management with both PwC and KPMG.

Bassel Bitar is the Regional Representative – Asia and Eastern Europe at DMCC, the world’s leading Free Zone and Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise.
Joining DMCC as a Team Leader in 2015, Bassel is responsible for promoting the benefits of doing business in Dubai and setting up companies in DMCC.
Prior to joining DMCC, Bassel held senior sales positions at both Etisalat Telecom and Emirates NBD in Dubai.
Bassel earned a Bachelor of Business administration degree in Hotel Management and tourism from the National American University in 2002.
