Ahmed Bin Sulayem

Ahmed Bin Sulayem is the Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC and has driven its growth from a start-up of 28 member companies in 2003 to the world’s leading free zone in 2023 with 24,000+ member companies from 180 countries, employing over 80,000 people.

Tasked with enhancing commodity trade flows through Dubai, DMCC has introduced to the market a number of value-added products and services under Mr Bin Sulayem’s leadership. In 2023, DMCC has been named the ‘Global Free Zone of the Year’ by The Financial Times fDi Magazine, for a record ninth consecutive year.

Mr Bin Sulayem oversaw the exponential growth of the DMCC Free Zone master development in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), a 200-hectare business and residential community in Dubai of over 100,000 people living and working across 87 towers. Mr Bin Sulayem also oversees the development of DMCC’s latest real estate project; the much-anticipated Uptown Dubai district.

Mr Bin Sulayem currently serves as the Chairman of the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) and the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX).

The Kimberley Process officially appointed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the first and only Arab country to Chair the Kimberley Process in November 2015. Shortly after, the UAE Ministry of Economy officially appointed Mr Bin Sulayem as the UAE’s Chair of the Kimberley Process for 2016.

H.E. Muhannad Alnaqbi

H.E. Muhannad Alnaqbi is the Consul General of the UAE to Shanghai overseeing 4 provinces in East China in addition to Shanghai. H.E. Alnaqbi is committed to further strengthening the Sino-UAE trade, relationship and friendship.

Prior to Shanghai H.E. Alnaqbi was in Italy for five years where he was First Secretary at the UAE Embassy in Rome.

H.E. Alnaqbi, a UAE native commenced his career at the U.A.E Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2010 where he held various roles in preparation for leading the U.A.E missions overseas.

Wang Xiaofeng

Wang Xiaofeng, Esq., currently holds several prestigious positions including Global Partner at Yingke Law Firm, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Yingke China, Director of the Yingke Shanghai Management Committee, and Head of the Corporate Legal Affairs Department.

In addition to his legal roles, Wang Xiaofeng also serves as an Arbitrator at the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center), a Hearing Officer at the Yangpu District People's Procuratorate, a Part-time Master's Supervisor at the KoGuan Law School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, an External Tutor at the Law Clinic of Tongji University Law School, and a Visiting Professor at Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance Law School. Furthermore, he holds positions as Director of the Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Legal Research Association of the Shanghai Law Society, as well as the esteemed title of Ambassador for Business in Fengxian District.

Wang Xiaofeng's expertise encompasses various areas of law, with a focus on corporate law, contract law, and providing comprehensive legal services related to commercial dispute resolution and enterprise compliance.

Zhang Di, currently serves as the Vice President of Global Markets at Suzhou Aikang Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd., with over 19 years of experience in strategic management, marketing management, product management, and new business development.

He has held senior positions in several well-known companies, including Founder and General Manager, Chief Marketing Officer, and Head of Marketing and Product Management for the Asia-Pacific region.

His diverse experience spans multiple sectors including electronics, healthcare, photovoltaics, and e-commerce, making him a seasoned industry leader in global market operations and strategic management.

Marwan Saleh

Marwan Mohamed Saleh is the Director of Sales and Business Development, Free Zone at DMCC. He brings over 25 years of work experience in strategic planning, marketing and business development, driving international sales and realising business objectives.

Prior to joining DMCC, Mr. Saleh was the Head of Business Development and International Sales at the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC).

Mr. Saleh is well-known for his extensive work with Etisalat Afghanistan from 1996 to 2015. He began his career journey as a Government & Corporate Segment Manager. Demonstrating excellence and business acumen, he then climbed the corporate ladder to become Vice President for Etisalat Afghanistan between 2011-2014, before
assuming the role of the CEO at Etisalat Afghanistan.

Mr. Saleh completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). He also holds multiple certifications in leadership and organisational leadership from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard Business School.

Jianlan Shi

Jianlan Shi joined DMCC in 2023 as Regional Representative for the Far East.

In her role, Jianlan is responsible for building strategic partnerships and promoting the benefits of DMCC and doing business in Dubai to key stakeholders in China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), South East Asia, Japan and South Korea notably government agencies, business communities and industry.

She brings with her over a decade of professional experience, in particular in Belt and Road Initiative countries as well as with a number of Chinese investment and financing projects.

Jianlan Shi holds a Master's degree in Business Information Technology from the Singapore Management University (MITB) and is also a certified carbon trader.
