Ahmed Bin Sulayem

Ahmed Bin Sulayem is the Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC and has driven its growth from a start-up of 28 member companies in 2003 to the world’s leading international business district in 2025 with over 25,000 member companies from 180 countries, employing over 90,000 people.

Tasked with enhancing commodity trade flows through Dubai, DMCC has introduced to the market a number of value-added products and services under Mr Bin Sulayem’s leadership. In 2023, DMCC was named ‘Global Free Zone of the Year’ by The Financial Times fDi Magazine, for a record ninth consecutive year.

Mr Bin Sulayem oversaw the exponential growth of the DMCC Free Zone master development in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), a 200-hectare business and residential community in Dubai of over 100,000 people living and working in 87 towers. Mr Bin Sulayem also oversees the development of DMCC’s latest real estate project, the Uptown Dubai district.

Mr Bin Sulayem currently serves as the Chairman the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) and the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX).

The Kimberley Process officially appointed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the first and only Arab country to Chair the Kimberley Process (KP) in November 2015. Shortly after, the UAE Ministry of Economy officially appointed Mr Bin Sulayem as the UAE’s Chair of the KP for 2016. Mr Bin Sulayem was reappointed Chair of the KP for a historic second time in 2024, and has continued his leadership role with the position of Custodian Chair in 2025.

H.E. Abdulla Ali Ateeq Obaid AlSubousi

H.E. Abdulla Ali AlSubousi is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Italy, non-resident Ambassador to the Republics of Malta and San Marino and North Macedonia.

He has previously served as UAE Ambassador to Australia and non-resident Ambassador to the Pacific Islands of Vanuatu, Samoa and Solomon Islands. Prior to this assignment, he has served as Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Los Angeles covering all the West Coast area in the United States.

H.E. AlSubousi has previously been Director of the American and Pacific Affairs Department at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, holding the title of Ambassador.

H.E. Abdulla AlSubousi has also served two tours in the UAE Embassy in Washington D.C., firstly as Director of Congressional Affairs, then as Consul and Head of Legal Affairs and finally as Head of the Political Section.

Prior to that, H.E. AlSubousi worked as Chief of the European Union desk and was involved in the European Union – Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) free trade negotiations at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was also member of the UAE official delegation to the United Nations General Assembly Millennium Session in New York. He led, and was a member of, numerous UAE delegations to several regional and international conferences.

Ambassador AlSubousi graduated from the University of Minnesota with a double major in Political Science and International Relations and a minor in History. He also attended courses at the National Defense University and Brookings Institute. He received many awards and letters of appreciation during his diplomatic career, most recently for the best diplomatic mission in 2019 and the award of distinguished diplomat from the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Giulia Piscina is an anchor and journalist with a strong economic-financial background. In 2019 she graduated from the University of Pavia in Communication, Innovation and Multimedia with a thesis on the TED format. Her relationship with the University continues to this day in the role of tutor for the Public Speaking and Classical Oratory course. After some TV experiences in the entertainment world, she starts specializing in news in 2021 becoming anchor woman of Finanza Now TV in Milan. In 2024 she began her collaboration with Mediolanum TV, Banca Mediolanum's corporate television, as Author and Host of the program Good Morning. She is committed to financial education issues, thanks also to the conduction of the 2022 and 2023 editions of the Io penso positivo - Educare alla finanza Project, a training course dedicated to students in the last three years of secondary school financed by MIMIT with Unioncamere and SiCamera. She collaborates as a freelancer with BFC Media, Forbes Italy and Forbes Small Giants and others. Among others, she has led and moderated for: TEDx, Assolombarda, Libero, Investing group Rome and Naples, Forbes Italia, Guide Espresso, Plenaria Synergie, Plenaria Banca Reale, Wealth Management EY, Corporate Wellbeing AON, Franciacorta Golf Club and corporate team building, Phygital Sustainability Expo at Fori Imperiali in Rome.

Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed is a Senior Manager of Corporate Sales at DMCC, the world’s leading Free Zone and Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise.

Joining DMCC in 2014, Mohammed is responsible for promoting the benefits of doing business in Dubai and establishing a presence in DMCC. Building strategic relationships is a key focus for Mohammed, and so too is engaging with local and international business communities at key industry events throughout the year.

With over 16 years of business development and corporate sales experience, Mohammed has worked alongside a number of senior figures in both the public and private sectors of the United Arab Emirates. Mohammed earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the American University in Emirates.
