Ahmed Bin Sulayem

Ahmed Bin Sulayem is the Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC and has driven its growth from a start-up of 28 member companies in 2003 to the world’s leading free zone in 2023 with 24,000+ member companies from 180 countries, employing over 80,000 people.

Tasked with enhancing commodity trade flows through Dubai, DMCC has introduced to the market a number of value-added products and services under Mr Bin Sulayem’s leadership. In 2023, DMCC has been named the ‘Global Free Zone of the Year’ by The Financial Times fDi Magazine, for a record ninth consecutive year.

Mr Bin Sulayem oversaw the exponential growth of the DMCC Free Zone master development in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), a 200-hectare business and residential community in Dubai of over 100,000 people living and working across 87 towers. Mr Bin Sulayem also oversees the development of DMCC’s latest real estate project; the much-anticipated Uptown Dubai district.

Mr Bin Sulayem currently serves as the Chairman of the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) and the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX).

The Kimberley Process officially appointed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the first and only Arab country to Chair the Kimberley Process in November 2015. Shortly after, the UAE Ministry of Economy officially appointed Mr Bin Sulayem as the UAE’s Chair of the Kimberley Process for 2016.

Alexei Busev

Alexei Busev is the Executive Director of the Russia-UAE Business Council, CEO of Incona, and Chairman of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry Commission for Foreign Economic Cooperation with Partners in the Arab States of the Persian Gulf.

From 2004 to 2011, he worked in the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar, heading the branches of Russian companies in the region.

Since 2011, he has been the CEO of Incona, a leading company specializing in promoting Russian businesses in the markets of the Arab states of the Persian Gulf. Incona has offices in Moscow, Dubai, and Riyadh. The company operates Good Food Russia pavilions showcasing Russian agribusiness products in Dubai and Riyadh and actively collaborates with the Russian Export Center.

Alexei Busev is a recognized expert on cooperation with the Arab states of the Persian Gulf. He frequently appears in the media and speaks at major international forums and conferences, including INNOPROM, SPIEF, KAZANFORUM, and the Made in Russia International Export Forum, dedicated to investment and trade-economic cooperation between Russia and the Arab world.

Evgeny Elemesov

Evgeny Elemesov is the Chief Representative of the Dubai International Chamber in Russia, where he spearheads efforts to strengthen business ties between Russia and Dubai. 

Having more than two decades of experience in  sales and business development in Russia and CIS Region at international companies, Evgeny is dedicated to fostering cross-border investments and supporting companies in their expansion strategies.

As a part of Dubai Chambers’ mission to drive global business growth, he works to attract Russian investment to Dubai while supporting Dubai-based companies in expanding into Russia. 

He facilitates high-level business missions and connects enterprises with opportunities in Dubai’s dynamic ecosystem, helping them navigate market entry and scale internationally.

Evgeny Borisov

Graduated from the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation with a degree in Financial Management. Since 1996, worked at Newbridge Systems Integration and Newbridge Networks. After the acquisition by Alcatel-Lucent, became Sales Director and co-owner at Datatel. Later headed InStroyTek and led business development at Naumen.

Najibullo Ghafforzoda Jabbory

Started his career at the REC Group in 2017 as a staff member of the Russian Export Center Representative Office in Iran. Currently oversees the Middle East and Africa regions and has extensive experience in foreign trade with MENA countries.

Bassel Bitar

Bassel Bitar is the Senior Manager, Corporate Sales – Asia and Eastern Europe at DMCC, the world’s leading Free Zone and Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise.

Joining DMCC as a Team Leader in 2015, Bassel is responsible for promoting the benefits of doing business in Dubai and setting up companies in DMCC.

Prior to joining DMCC, Bassel held senior sales positions at both Etisalat Telecom and Emirates NBD in Dubai.

Bassel earned a Bachelor of Business administration degree in Hotel Management and tourism from the National American University in 2002.
