Ahmed Bin Sulayem is the Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC and has driven its growth from a start-up of 28 member companies in 2003 to the world’s leading free zone in 2023 with over 24,000 member companies from 180 countries, employing over 65,000 people.
Tasked with enhancing commodity trade flows through Dubai, DMCC has introduced to the market a number of value-added products and services under Mr Bin Sulayem’s leadership. In 2023, DMCC was named the ‘Global Free Zone of the Year’ by The Financial Times fDi Magazine, for a record nine consecutive years.
Mr Bin Sulayem oversaw the exponential growth of the DMCC Free Zone master development in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), a 200-hectare business and residential community in Dubai of over 100,000 people living and working in 87 towers. Mr Bin Sulayem also oversees the development of DMCC’s latest real estate project; the much-anticipated Uptown Dubai district.
Mr Bin Sulayem currently serves as the Chairman of the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) and the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX).
The Kimberley Process officially appointed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the first and only Arab country to Chair the Kimberley Process in November 2015. Shortly after, the UAE Ministry of Economy officially appointed Mr Bin Sulayem as the UAE’s Chair of the Kimberley Process for 2016.

Karim Fatehi is the Chief Executive of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). He has served as an LCCI Board member since September 2022 and has been a member of the LCCI Council for seven years.
Karim is a highly experienced business leader and has served as Managing Director of United Corporation, a globally approved Engineering Procurement Management company which he established in 1995, for over 25 years. The company has twice won the Queens Award for International Trade in 2007 and 2011.
He is also an expert in international trade and is currently serving as an Expert Trade Advisory Group (ETAG) Member on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). In 2012, he was awarded an MBE for his services to international trade.

Dr. Hamad Buamim is the Chairman of the Board of DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre). Previously, Dr. Hamad served as President and CEO of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce from 2006 to 2022, where he led key business transformations in Dubai and chaired the ICC World Chambers Federation in Paris from 2018 to 2022.
In addition to his current role at DMCC, Dr. Hamad holds several other leadership and board positions, including Chairman of National General Insurance PJSC and Vice Chairman of Deyaar Properties PJSC. He also serves as a Board Member at Dubai Islamic Bank PJSC, International Hotel Investment PLC - Malta, and Economic Zones World (JAFZA).
Dr. Hamad earned a Doctorate of Business Administration from Warwick Business School, UK, where he is also a regional chair of the university’s global advisory board; an MBA with honors in Finance from the University of Missouri, Kansas City; and a BSc in Electrical Engineering, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hamad has made significant contributions to the success of several high-profile boards, including the UAE Central Bank, Dubai World, Istithmar World, Emirates NBD PJSC, Network International, and Kerzner.

Khozama Al Saadi is Senior Manager in Corporate Sales, Free Zone at DMCC, where she is responsible for operations in Western Europe and Türkiye. She brings a decade of expertise in fostering strategic partnerships, relationships and alliances notably with governments and prominent industry stakeholders.
Prior to joining DMCC, Khozama worked for Dubai Chambers in the Investment Attraction division and has experience in Corporate Sales for Jumeirah Group and Mashreq Bank.
Khozama holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and Management from the American University of Dubai.

Fragomen
Julia is a Partner at Fragomen focusing on Global Government Strategies and Compliance. She divides her time between Fragomen’s London and Dubai offices and supports clients worldwide to optimise global mobility strategies, enhance compliance and leverage best practice in all critical immigration related policies including crisis management. In addition, Julia advises private clients on complex international migration solutions.
Before joining Fragomen, Julia was a Partner, Legal Markets Leader and Head of Global Immigration at PwC leading complex multi-jurisdictional client engagements and providing strategic global immigration advice. Julia has advised several governments on major projects encompassing visa processing systems, residency legislation, communications and citizenship by investment programmes. Julia liaised with the UK government and business on Brexit and has given expert evidence at the European Parliament. She has also represented business at the UK Prime Minister’s immigration stock take meeting and was a formal advisor to the Home Office on business, investment and growth. She continues to participate in stakeholder engagement with the UK government and liaises closely with governments in the Middle East.
Julia was recognised in the area of immigration law in the 2023 edition of The Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom™. She was also named a 2023 “Lawyer of the Year” for London immigration law.
In 2022, Julia was recognised as a Top Recommended Immigration Lawyer for high-net-worth (HNW) individuals by Spear’s on its 2022 Legal Index and appointed Deputy Chair of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Julia was also appointed to the Board of Directors of the Dubai International Chamber, an appointment approved by the ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed. In addition, Julia sits on the board of the Permits Foundation and the board of Labor Mobility Partnerships.
Having previously been appointed Deputy Chair of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Julia was announced as Chair of the Board in 2023.
Julia is the Chair of the International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute Charitable Trust and is on the board of Breaking Barriers.
In 2021, Julia was presented with the Outstanding Contribution to Global Mobility Award by the Forum for Expatriate Management. In 2022 Julia joined the Advisory Board of The Global Mobility Executive.
Julia is the co-signatory of a number of reports on the impact of migration and is publicly recognized as a thought leader in global immigration.
