Ahmed Bin Sulayem is the Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC and has driven its growth from a start-up of 28 member companies in 2003 to the world’s leading international business district in 2025 with over 25,000 member companies from 180 countries, employing over 90,000 people.
Tasked with enhancing commodity trade flows through Dubai, DMCC has introduced to the market a number of value-added products and services under Mr Bin Sulayem’s leadership. In 2023, DMCC was named ‘Global Free Zone of the Year’ by The Financial Times fDi Magazine, for a record ninth consecutive year.
Mr Bin Sulayem oversaw the exponential growth of the DMCC Free Zone master development in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), a 200-hectare business and residential community in Dubai of over 100,000 people living and working in 87 towers. Mr Bin Sulayem also oversees the development of DMCC’s latest real estate project, the Uptown Dubai district.
Mr Bin Sulayem currently serves as the Chairman the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) and the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX).
The Kimberley Process officially appointed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the first and only Arab country to Chair the Kimberley Process (KP) in November 2015. Shortly after, the UAE Ministry of Economy officially appointed Mr Bin Sulayem as the UAE’s Chair of the KP for 2016. Mr Bin Sulayem was reappointed Chair of the KP for a historic second time in 2024, and has continued his leadership role with the position of Custodian Chair in 2025.

His Excellency Abdulla Salem Obaid Salem Aldhaheri is a distinguished diplomat and business leader from the United Arab Emirates. He currently serves as the Ambassador of the UAE to the Republic of Indonesia, as well as the Non-Resident Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste and ASEAN, a position he has held since March 2020.
Born and raised in Abu Dhabi, HE Aldhaheri holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the United States, which he obtained in 1992. His extensive career spans both the diplomatic and corporate sectors, with a strong foundation in the energy industry. Prior to his ambassadorial role, he dedicated over two decades to the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), holding key leadership positions, including Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Distribution and Executive Director of Marketing, Sales, and Trading. His expertise in strategic planning, market expansion, and corporate governance significantly contributed to ADNOC’s growth and global reach.
During his tenure as CEO of ADNOC Distribution, HE Aldhaheri spearheaded a transformative journey that positioned the company as a pioneer in automation and operational excellence. Under his leadership, ADNOC Distribution adopted cutting-edge technologies, streamlined processes, and enhanced customer experience, which elevated the company’s status as an industry leader both locally and internationally. His strategic vision not only improved efficiency and service quality but also reinforced ADNOC Distribution’s role as a key player in the global energy market.
In addition to his executive roles, HE Aldhaheri has served on several prestigious boards, including Etisalat Nigeria (EMTS), ADNATCO, NGSCO, and Ershad Company, and has been an influential member of ADNOC’s committees on job evaluation, staff assessment, and environmental sustainability. His leadership extended to overseeing projects focused on energy transition, safety, and infrastructure development.
Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades in recognition of his contributions. Notably, he was honored with the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award in 2024 for Outstanding Ambassador and holds the Community Service Medal from the Ministry of Interior. His leadership in the oil and gas sector was also acknowledged with the Oracle Award for Oil and Gas Industry Excellence (2012) and the ADNOC Champion of the Year for Security and Safety Award (2013).
With a career that seamlessly bridges diplomacy and business, H.E. Aldhaheri continues to strengthen UAE’s international relations, particularly in Southeast Asia, while fostering economic and cultural ties between nations.
Former Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE
Mr. Wahid Supriyadi is a distinguished career diplomat with a remarkable tenure in international relations. He served as the Consul General in Melbourne from 2004 to 2007, followed by his appointment as the Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates from 2008 to 2011. More recently, he was the Ambassador to the Russian Federation from 2016 to 2020.
Currently, Mr. Supriyadi holds the prestigious positions of President Commissioner at PT Bukit Baiduri Energy (BBE) and PT Speedwork Solusi Utama. His leadership extends into environmental initiatives as the Chairman of National Plastic Action Partnership (NPAP Indonesia). Beyond his leadership roles, Mr. Supriyadi is a prolific writer, contributing articles to both local and international newspapers. His academic contributions are notable as well, serving as a Visiting Professor at Tomsk State University and a Visiting Lecturer at several other universities.

Irawan Mulyadi (current title: President Commissioner, PT. PathGen Diagnostik Teknologi ) is an IT entrepreneur with a long history of innovation in the strategic application of technology. Including business process, solution architect, business analyst, and technological specialist in addition to the field of entrepreneurship. His global experience encompasses a wide spectrum of assignments, from analysis to execution. Irawan began his professional career in finance, and then he was followed as a subject matter expert in Australia by technology consultants. He went back to Indonesia in the middle of 2000 to start a huge information technology enterprise.
Irawan has made numerous profitable investments in the fields of mobile applications, e-commerce, social media, payment gateways, and e-health. In addition to serving on the boards of directors of numerous organisations, he actively works to advance the small and medium-sized economies of Africa and ASEAN. Irawan is the Forum of Small-Medium Economic Africa-ASEAN’s director and deputy secretary general (www.forseaa.org). Arif Firdaus is the Chief Representative of the Dubai International Chamber for Indonesia and the Philippines, where he leads the Chamber’s strategic initiatives to strengthen trade and investment ties between Southeast Asia and Dubai. With over 22 years of professional experience across international business development, aviation operations, investment management, and hospitality, he brings a multidimensional perspective to global economic engagement.
In his current role, Arif is responsible for overseeing market intelligence, stakeholder engagement, and the execution of high-level promotional and networking programs. His efforts are instrumental in positioning Dubai as a preferred global business hub and gateway to international markets.
Arif previously served as CEO and Co-Founder of an investment company and spent more than a decade with Emirates Airline in operational leadership roles. His career is distinguished by a strong track record in cross-border collaboration, trade facilitation, and public-private partnerships.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Agricultural Economics, with research focused on food security and supply chain development. Arif has also earned over 40 international certifications in leadership, global strategy, and intercultural communication from prestigious institutions such as the University of Michigan, Copenhagen Business School, and the National University of Singapore.

Currently, he is still a Director and Board Member of the American Indonesian Chamber of Commerce in New York Harry Lim was an Associate to a lobbying firm Kimmitt, Coates & McCarthy in Washington D.C. Before that, Harry Lim was Vice President International for Burns & McDonnell, an Engineering & Architecture and Construction company, in charge of Project Finance and International Business Development. Prior to joining the Burns & McDonnell management team, he was Vice President for Ellerbe Becket Construction Services of Ellerbe Becket (now is called AECOM), one of the largest architecture firms in the US at that time. He was responsible in both companies for building their international project development (including privatization practice) and finance capabilities, and also for managing Asia operations and government relationship.
Harry Lim is also the Founder of WOW Foundation, who is a partner to the NBA (National Basketball of Association of North America) in Indonesia and Advisor to UIN Sjarif Hidayatullah and University Maritime Raja Ali Haji.
