Ahmed Bin Sulayem

Ahmed Bin Sulayem is the Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC and has driven its growth from a start-up of 28 member companies in 2003 to the world’s leading free zone in 2023 with 24,000+ member companies from 180 countries, employing over 80,000 people.

Tasked with enhancing commodity trade flows through Dubai, DMCC has introduced to the market a number of value-added products and services under Mr Bin Sulayem’s leadership. In 2023, DMCC has been named the ‘Global Free Zone of the Year’ by The Financial Times fDi Magazine, for a record ninth consecutive year.

Mr Bin Sulayem oversaw the exponential growth of the DMCC Free Zone master development in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), a 200-hectare business and residential community in Dubai of over 100,000 people living and working across 87 towers. Mr Bin Sulayem also oversees the development of DMCC’s latest real estate project; the much-anticipated Uptown Dubai district.

Mr Bin Sulayem currently serves as the Chairman of the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) and the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX).

The Kimberley Process officially appointed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the first and only Arab country to Chair the Kimberley Process in November 2015. Shortly after, the UAE Ministry of Economy officially appointed Mr Bin Sulayem as the UAE’s Chair of the Kimberley Process for 2016.

Judy Chung

Judy is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in business development and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Assistant Vice President at LPS, she is a driving force for the company’s growth and spearheads strategic client relationships in the enterprise sector.

With a wealth of experience spanning diverse industries, Judy consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership skills. Prior to her role at LPS, she made a significant impact as the Director of Client Services at Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), where she fostered a vibrant innovation and technology ecosystem.

During her tenure as the Senior Director at Capgemini HK Ltd., Judy played a pivotal role in expanding the company's presence in the Hong Kong market. Her visionary approach and strategic acumen propelled the organization to thrive and succeed. 

Notably, Judy held leadership positions in sales at Jardine OneSolution Ltd. (JOS), where her strategic initiatives and innate ability to inspire and motivate teams led to remarkable success.

Throughout her career, Judy's exceptional leadership skills, combined with her deep industry knowledge, have established her as an influential leader in her field.

Thomas Tin

Thomas Tin is a pioneering entrepreneur and the founder of Greentins Group, a leading green technology company focused on developing sustainable and environmentally friendly products and solutions. Greentins was established in 2005 and the company's primary goal was to develop and commercialize cutting-edge green technologies that would reduce carbon emissions, promote environmentally friendly building materials. His most recent undertaking involved a collaborative effort with financial institutions and local schools to mitigate their carbon emissions and enlighten young scholars on the significance of climate change, alongside how a circular economy fosters societal well-being.

In the year 2022, Thomas received prestigious accolades from The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and the Shenzhen Environmental Science Society (SESS) in the form of an honourable inclusion in the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Outstanding, Innovative Eco-Environmental Technologies and Achievements Recommended List to acknowledge his remarkable accomplishments in the field. Furthermore, this year, under his diligent leadership, the team secured the Hong Kong Green Innovations Awards – Certificate of Merit for our cutting-edge carbon removal technology.

Sam Ngan

Sam is a serial entrepreneur, intangible asset valuator and part time speaker.

He is currently the CEO and founder of Popsible, Asia's leading Web3.0 apps (blockchain & AI) and digital PR platform. A seasoned professional in system development and marketing, he brings digital and technology innovations to explore and improve the social and humanities aspects.

Sam studied at University of California, Berkeley for Management of Technology and graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong majoring in Computer Science and an MBA. He worked for large scale system development in a telco, intangible asset valuation for software M&A and strategic development and investor relations for several tech companies.

Sam is a serial entrepreneur for award winning internet companies covering 3D scanning, digital marketing and fintech. He currently serves as the Honorary Advisory of Saint Francis University (School of Computing and Information Sciences), the President of Association of Metaverse (AoM), Vice President of Cyberport Startup Alumni Association (CSAA).

Claude Touikan

Claude is a Co-Founder and Executive Director of Lead8. A Madagascar-born Chinese-Canadian, he is registered member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, L’Ordre des architectes du Québec (OAQ) and the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA).

Claude leads architectural design teams on predominantly mixed-use developments in Hong Kong and China, including high-profile projects such as 11 SKIES and the Central Harbourfront Site 3, set to become the new benchmark for premium retail, dining and entertainment (RDE) developments in Hong Kong.

Passionate about design, Claude manages a weekly design review workshop for the studio which ensures quality standards are maintained across projects. Forward-thinking, he regularly shares his design insight in the industry on topics ranging from AI, smart cities and increasing social currency to the evolving nature of RDE hubs.

Marwan Saleh

Marwan Mohamed Saleh is the Director of Sales and Business Development, Free Zone at DMCC. He brings over 25 years of work experience in strategic planning, marketing and business development, driving international sales and realising business objectives.

Prior to joining DMCC, Mr. Saleh was the Head of Business Development and International Sales at the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC).

Mr. Saleh is well-known for his extensive work with Etisalat Afghanistan from 1996 to 2015. He began his career journey as a Government & Corporate Segment Manager. Demonstrating excellence and business acumen, he then climbed the corporate ladder to become Vice President for Etisalat Afghanistan between 2011-2014, before
assuming the role of the CEO at Etisalat Afghanistan.

Mr. Saleh completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). He also holds multiple certifications in leadership and organisational leadership from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard Business School.

Jianlan Shi

Jianlan Shi joined DMCC in 2023 as Regional Representative for the Far East.

In her role, Jianlan is responsible for building strategic partnerships and promoting the benefits of DMCC and doing business in Dubai to key stakeholders in China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), South East Asia, Japan and South Korea notably government agencies, business communities and industry.

She brings with her over a decade of professional experience, in particular in Belt and Road Initiative countries as well as with a number of Chinese investment and financing projects.

Jianlan Shi holds a Master's degree in Business Information Technology from the Singapore Management University (MITB) and is also a certified carbon trader.
