Ahmed Bin Sulayem

Ahmed Bin Sulayem is the Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC and has driven its growth from a start-up of 28 member companies in 2003 to the world’s leading free zone in 2022 with over 23,000 member companies from 180 countries, employing over 65,000 people.

Tasked with enhancing commodity trade flows through Dubai, DMCC has introduced to the market a number of value-added products and services under Mr Bin Sulayem’s leadership. In 2022, DMCC was named the ‘Global Free Zone of the Year’ by The Financial Times fDi Magazine, for a record eight consecutive years.

Mr Bin Sulayem oversaw the exponential growth of the DMCC Free Zone master development in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), a 200-hectare business and residential community in Dubai of over 100,000 people living and working in 87 towers. Mr Bin Sulayem also oversees the development of DMCC’s latest real estate project; the much-anticipated Uptown Dubai district.

Mr Bin Sulayem currently serves as the Chairman of the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) and the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX).

The Kimberley Process officially appointed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the first and only Arab country to Chair the Kimberley Process in November 2015. Shortly after, the UAE Ministry of Economy officially appointed Mr Bin Sulayem as the UAE’s Chair of the Kimberley Process for 2016.

Junjie Si is the Chief Representative of Dubai Chamber International Office in China. Junjie focuses on developing the Chamber’s network of stakeholder relations and assisting member companies with market expansion in China.

In his 9 years’ experience at the Chamber, Junjie played consecutively successful roles across projects for Dubai Association Center as well as the Chamber’s Business Forum Series.

He is a first year graduate of the “Dubai Business Associates”, a highly regarded programme under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

• Dorothy started her career with Ernst & Young and has more than 15 years of experience in business and tax consulting. During which, she has worked in Ernst & Young Hong Kong, Taiwan and Shenzhen offices.
• Dorothy has extensive experience in providing tax consultation services to multi-national companies in regard of their launching of new business unit, investment holding structure, operational model efficiency, cross-boarder restructuring, and merger and acquisition transactions.
• She has assisted on Chinese enterprises’ overseas investment structure projects and also provided tax planning advices on their global operating models covering more than 100 jurisdictions, including clients from different industries such as consumer products manufacturing and retailing, telecommunication, media, technology, software, e-commerce, infrastructure and public service.

She is excellent in mobilizing most appropriate resources in the Ernst & Young network in the globe and forming the best team in providing exceptional services to multi-national clients throughout the whole life cycle of their business.

Joining the organisation in 2019, Claire Guo is responsible for promoting the benefits of doing business in Dubai and establishing a presence in DMCC and building strategic partnerships with government, agencies and consultancies both regionally and internationally.

Engaging with key stakeholders in the industry is a key focus for Claire Guo, who is an expert in providing advice and customised solutions to both large corporates and SME’s in China and beyond. 

With over 8 years of experience, Claire Guo has a solid grasp of the Asian markets and is heavily involved in DMCC’s Chinese business community in the UAE.

Claire Guo holds a Master’s in Business Management and Digital Transformation Degree.
