Executive Director - Commodities & Financial Services
DMCC
Sanjeev Dutta is the Executive Director of Commodities and Financial Services at DMCC. He oversees DMCC’s commodities vertical, and directs the development, implementation and regulation of the organisation’s financial products, platforms and services.
An expert on trade finance and commodity markets, Sanjeev is responsible for identifying new business opportunities for DMCC and nurturing existing commercial partnerships. He was instrumental in establishing the DMCC Tea Centre, DMCC Coffee Centre and the award-winning DMCC Tradeflow platform, and now tasked with enhancing the trade of agri and softs, precious metals and stones through Dubai.
Sanjeev is a senior member of DMCC’s executive leadership team and supports the general management, strategic direction and growth initiatives of the organisation. Sanjeev devised and implemented the organisation’s Code of Corporate Governance, and established its comprehensive risk management protocol.
Joining on its inception, Sanjeev has held a number of senior roles within DMCC and previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DCGX). A distinguished speaker, Sanjeev regularly represents DMCC at international industry events and is an expert on trade, commodities and Islamic Finance.
A Chartered Accountant by profession, Sanjeev has over two decades of multi-industry expertise in auditing, financial controls, consulting, risk management, corporate governance and general management with both PwC and KPMG.
Regional Head - Europe and UAE
CPA Australia
Colleen Schooling is the Regional Head, Europe and the UAE for CPA Australia, appointed to this role in October 2015. Prior to this she was General Manager, Western Australia, for CPA Australia for five years. Before joining CPA Australia, Colleen held Business Development roles within commercial student accommodation development and operations, and in the private academic residential sector as Vice-Principal, St John’s College, within the University of Sydney.
In her current role Colleen is focused on member, employer, and university relations across the UK, Europe and the UAE, with a view to ensuring the protection of member interests and understanding their professional development requirements. The role is also focused on building the profile of the CPA designation and enhancing the visibility of the CPA Program within the academic and business sectors.
Colleen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Flinders University, South Australia, and a Master of Education from the University of New England, NSW.
Head of Coffee
DMCC
Marco Bellinato is Head of Coffee at DMCC and was appointed to the role in December 2018. Marco is responsible for growing DMCC’s coffee-related business and leads the operational management and commercial teams at the DMCC Coffee Centre.
With a wealth of experience in the coffee industry, Marco plays a pivotal role in shaping the world-class services on offer through the DMCC Coffee Centre and engaging with its growing number of local, regional and international members. Marco’s expertise in coffee roasting, quality control, production and manufacturing are critical to the expansion plans of the DMCC Coffee Centre, and its wider vision to help transform Dubai into a new global hub for coffee.
Prior to joining DMCC, Marco was based in London and worked with one of the world’s largest coffee companies. He also successfully managed his own coffee business in his native Italy. Marco is a qualified Q-Grader and holds a Coffee Diploma from the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA). He also has an educational background in surveying.
Representative - International Operations
Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM)
Fatma Alattar represents the International Operations department at Dubai Tourism, responsible for promoting Dubai as a tourism destination in overseas markets.
The International Operations Department develops market strategies for overseas travel trade development, as well as cooperation with trade partners, travel trade training, roadshows, familiarisation trips, and digital marketing campaigns on travel-related platforms.
The department also develops and manages relationships with stakeholders in Dubai and overseas markets, including digital platform partners, trade partners, government entities, local hotels, attractions, and destination management companies.
Regional Representative - Far East
DMCC
Rong Wei is the Regional Representative for the Far East market at DMCC, the world’s leading Free Zone and Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise.
Joining the organisation in 2015, Rong Wei is responsible for promoting the benefits of doing business in Dubai and establishining a prescense in DMCC and building strategic partnerships with government, agencies and consultancies both regionally and internationally.
Engaging with key stakeholders in the industry is a key focus for Rong Wei, where is an expert in providing advice and customised solutions to both large corporates and SME’s in China and beyond.
With over 5 years of experience, Rong Wei has a solid grasp of the Asian markets and is heavily involved in DMCC’s chinese business community in the UAE.
Managing Director
CM International Middle East FZ-LLC
Alex Lee is the Managing Director of China Mobile International Middle East office since November 2017. Having 17 years of experience in telecommunications business, he was previously with Ooredoo Group and SingTel, working on multiple ventures and projects in many countries in the region and in Asia.
He graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He had consistently shown proven expertise in building and managing high-growth portfolios for clients in Middle Eastern and Asian markets, and had spent the last decade of his time in the Middle East region.
