The Evolved Q Grader course is part of SCA and designed to develop a new generation of coffee professionals equipped to evaluate beans using a modern, science-driven approach.
Participants will engage in an intensive six-day program combining theory, hands-on practice, and examinations. The curriculum focuses on:

- Development of sensory self-awareness
- Advanced discrimination and defect analysis
- Strategic application of these skills in professional contexts

JOHAN KWE
COFFEE EDUCATOR AND POST-HARVEST PROCESSING SPECIALISTA seasoned coffee professional with over a decade of experience in the specialty coffee industry.
Created the "Farmer Direct" project, a program connecting Sumatran coffee producers with international buyers to promote sustainable, ethical sourcing, and fair-trade practices.
Appointed to be the official distributor for Lalcafe™ yeasts for Indonesia, and successfully marketed to most South East Asia coffee producing countries.
Instructed coffee quality evaluation and post-harvest processing courses in numerous countries, including Brazil, Thailand, Russia, Laos, China, Philippines, Indonesia, and more.
Contributed to Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) publication “The Value of Specialty Coffee Cuppers”. Collaborated with Coffee Quality Institute (CQI) to pilot multiple new post-harvest processing course designs.
