Patrick Ghata is the Associate Director - Financial Services at DMCC, overseeing the development of DMCC’s financial products and online trade solutions. A trade finance specialist, he drives strategic campaigns to promote Dubai as a leading international Islamic finance hub.
In addition to managing conventional financial products, much of his work is focused on enhancing DMCC’s Islamic finance solutions, including Commodity Murabaha and Salam.
Previously, Patrick led DMCC Tradeflow, where he played a pivotal role in expanding its financial capabilities and strengthening its position in commodity trade finance. He was part of the team that launched the successful DMCC Warehouse Inspection and Ratings Programme in 2013, an assessment procedure that certifies the authenticity and safety of storage operators registered in the DMCC Tradeflow network.
With more than 16 years of experience in international finance and trade, Patrick has held a range of senior positions at DMCC since joining the organisation in 2013. He also oversees the energy sector at DMCC and has been instrumental in the growth of the Energy Club.
Patrick holds a BFA degree from the American University in Dubai.

Daniel Colover Head of Global Engagement & Intelligence for Oil and LNG, S&P Global Commodity Insights
Daniel is the Head of Global Engagement & Intelligence for Oil and LNG at S&P Global Commodity Insights and has been based in Dubai since November 2018. Since joining S&P Global Platts in 2008 in London, Daniel has been responsible for some of the company’s major crude oil price assessments, including Dated Brent. He also covered a variety of refined products assessed out of London.
In 2012 he moved to Singapore and became Managing Editor of the Asia crude team in 2013. In 2014 he was appointed Associate Editorial Director for Strategic Oil Markets Development where he led efforts in Asia and the Middle East to engage the oil community about S&P Global Platts price assessment methodology, provided insight on market developments and trends, and gathered feedback about the value that Platts provides. From 2016 until his recent move to Dubai he was manager of the crude and residual fuel market pricing and reporting teams in Singapore.
Daniel earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social and Political studies from the University of Sheffield.

Wesley is the Global Market Engagement Lead at S&P Global Commodity Insights (Platts).
He has developed strong relationships with numerous international organizations and led strategic engagements with key players across the commodity industry, including producers, traders, investors, consumers, and technology providers. Wesley has been instrumental in educating the market on Platts’ pricing methodology, offering valuable market insights and intelligence, and fostering commercial collaboration.
With over 15 years of experience, Wesley spent 12 years in the energy sector at Petrobras, a leading national oil and gas company, and one year as a Consultant at Bain & Company, a globally renowned strategy consulting firm, before joining S&P Global.
Wesley has delivered presentations at major international conferences, engaging senior and executive audiences in countries such as Colombia, Switzerland, Brazil, Paraguay, the Bahamas, Chile, India, the Netherlands, Bahrain, and Singapore.
Currently based in the UAE, Wesley is an international professional with experience in Brazil and Switzerland. He holds an MBA from IMD – International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from IFBA.
