Through expert-led presentations and open Q&A sessions, participants will gain a clearer understanding of the structure, services and dynamics that shape this industry.

Andrew Naylor is Head of Middle East and Public Policy at the World Gold Council. He joined the Council in 2016 and leads on policy initiatives including ASGM formalisation, AML/TF, and Islamic Finance. He heads the WGC office in the UAE and is a regulator gold market commentator on Bloomberg, CNBC and Sky News. He is an ACAMS-certified anti-money laundering specialist and has bachelors and masters degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Juan-Carlos joined the WGC in 2009. He serves as the Regional CEO for the Americas and Global Head of Research and is a member of the Management Committee. He leads the strategy across the region, focusing on enhancing understanding, access, and trust in gold. In addition, he and his Research team develop timely insights on gold market trends, drivers of price, and the role that gold plays in investment strategies.
During his tenure, Juan-Carlos has reshaped the organization’s approach to research through robust analysis, incorporating findings from gold physical and derivatives markets and their link to the macroeconomy and geopolitics. This perspective has informed the development of WGC’s Gold Valuation Framework, a novel methodology for understanding the factors that determine gold’s performance.
Previously, Juan-Carlos worked at JPMorgan Securities as a US and Emerging Markets fixed income strategist. In this role, he developed sovereign- and corporate-debt valuation frameworks and contributed to leading US and Emerging Markets financial publications.
Juan-Carlos holds a BS in Actuarial Sciences from ITAM (Mexico) and an MBA and MS in Statistics from the University of Chicago.

David Gornall is a well-known precious metal professional who has been working within the sector for over 45 years. A former Chairman of the London Bullion Market Association, he is now an independent consultant advising clients on precious and base metals. David was Head of Metals Trading at Natixis. Prior to that David worked as a trader at both N.M. Rothschild and Morgan Guaranty.

Tushar Gupta is a transformation-driven professional at the intersection of precious metals, compliance, and technology. As Director at Suntech, a UAE-headquartered multi-disciplinary group, he leads initiatives spanning tax technology, anti-money laundering, enterprise systems, and regulatory consulting across the jewellery and bullion value chain.
In 2025, Suntech was appointed Regulatory Affairs Consultant to the Dubai Bullion & Refinery Group (DBRG), where Tushar advises on policy frameworks, governance, and best practices for the region’s gold ecosystem. His work extends to critical topics such as IFRS gold accounting, AML standards, Basel III implications for bullion banking, and technology adoption in trade compliance.
Previously, Tushar gained global finance experience with DE Shaw—managing post-trade compliance and investment mandates of over $10 billion—and with BCG and PwC, where he led due diligence for marquee cross-border transactions, including the world’s largest beverage company.
Today, Tushar combines this international finance background with his passion for industry transformation, advising governments, trade bodies, and market leaders on how to align bullion markets with evolving global standards while leveraging technology for transparency and resilience.
